Individual Field Study 2025, 1/3

 Hi, all!

I am a bit late in sharing my journey of the field study as a part of individual field study. In this individual field study I choose to do the literature review on a selected topic. We had a session with our teacher and mentor Jenny at every week who guides us to this journey.

The preliminary job of the literature review is to select a topic in which I have an interest. In the first two sessions, Jenny helped us know more about the systematic literature review, topic selection, search engine selection, selecting, deselecting and how to categorize the list of articles. After brainstorming for some days, I chose Supply Chain Transparency as my subject for the literature review. I want to know what has been done in these topics by the scholars and what the gaps are that can be further explored. I choose the search engine "Scopus" to search the scholarly articles for my topics.

In the third and fourth week, I started to read the articles that I chose and started to make an Excel sheet where I could categorize the articles under different specific columns for further easy understanding. Jenny guided us through this preparation and pointed out what to look for while reading a journal articles. It really helped me to understand the articles more clearly and sort out the relevant articles.

Then I started to write my report and now I am on the to write the second draft. The feedback session from the first draft makes clear my confusion about the how to write in maintaining the golden thread and with structure. Now I am approaching to the second draft with refining and modify the 1st draft.

It was nice learning phase so far in this individual study. I have learned a lot about the literature review and extended my skills in the scientific journal analysis area. I hope these skills will aid my future goals.

Thats all for today. Have a nice day and I promise I will not be late for my second post!!
