After one month in Stockholm

Hi everyone,

We are back again with loads new experiences. As previously mentioned we spent two weeks on working in the three organizations. At the end we came up with the SWOT analysis of their activities which we were partly involved. For instance, we suggested a more specific categorization of used textile in order to make sorting process more efficient as well as working place conditions like ventilation or hygiene system which needed to be improved.

After next meeting with our supervisor we decided to have our focus on down-cycling part of the project in which we had to find main actors in this area and also the possible product to produce in Sweden based on Swedish market demand.

We sourced our research from national and international reports while doing desktop research via different Companies’ website to study the international market for the prospective products.

Living in Stockholm gave us a good chance to attend to interesting events for example we went to an exhibition called Earth Matters which meant to raise public awareness about the impact of our careless lifestyle and over consumption of natural resources. Another interesting event that we went to was Next Generation Textiles and Sustainable Global Value Chains conference which were organized by India Unlimited.

It is a sunny day in Stockholm hope you are enjoying your day where ever you are, :)
