Bubbleroom

Good morning everyone, hope you have had a great weekend.

I am just about to start my fourth week at Bubbleroom. I was so happy to get an internship at their buying/purchasing department and get a firsthand experience on how it is to work there. For those who do not know about Bubbleroom, it is an online fashion company within the clothes and accessories department, where their main focus is on their wide selection of dresses, offered to match each one of their customers, which I love – Who does not like a good go-to place for dresses that suits every occasion, right?

So far it has been three very inspiring weeks and I have been able to learn a lot during this time. I am interning at the external part of the buying/purchasing department, meaning that I am working with all the products from the external brands. I started off my internship by learning the process of writing product descriptions, uploading pictures on the website, creating product articles, and the most recent – how to make product orders for our external brands. I have also been able to spend some time at the studio and assist during the photoshoots, which has been one of my favorite things to do.

As you may see, the tasks have been diverse and it has been so fun to acquire all this knowledge and experience during this relatively short time. The buying/purchasing department truly encompasses more than one may think, it is not solely about purchasing new products for the company, the process includes many things and having such a great team and mentors that I have at Bubbleroom allows you to get into the process quite fast. This week I will be going along with one of our buyers to a purchase meeting, very excited about that. I will keep you posted on how it goes.
