Åhaga fashion outlet

Tjena tjena!

These last few weeks the focus of my internship has somewhat shifted due to the annual fashion outlet that is taking place at Åhaga here in Borås. The entire area covers approximately 2000 square meters, and Göte David Teko is exhibiting both male and female clothing on 100 square meters.

We visit the outlet 2-3 times a week to verify that everything is neat and checking on the service stock to make sure we are not running out of products. In correlation to this, I have got acquainted with the warehouse located in Viskafors, which lies 20km south of Borås. The building in itself is an old weaving-factory, but hasn’t had any production for decades when the building was acquired as a warehouse around 40 years ago.

When the warehouse is running on its full capacity, is can store almost 60000 garments spread over its 6000 square meters, being divided over three floors. Luckily, as we can see on the picture, almost the entire building is connected to a rail-system, by which hanging garments can be transported on, and two different terminals can be utilized for deliveries.

Until next time!
