Care label bible

I learn new things every day when interning for Acne Studios, and one of them is accurate fabric care.

As we are developing garments, it is very crucial to keep an careful eye on their quality - who wants to spend a lot of money on garments that won't last and that look bad just after couple of times wearing them? Nobody.

Part of my tasks in the production department is for example taking our garments to dry cleaner's to be test washed - normally several times, inside out, trims covered, not covered... These wash trials tell how the fabric and garment should be treated after purchasing, and based on the quality tests the care label advice are formed and the care labels are ordered and attached to the ready garments.

One nice perk on my job is being the officio wear tester for our garments. As a wear tester I wear the style in question in normal day use and pay attention on the fit, snagging, fabric in general, the overall feeling and finally tell my experiences to other people working with quality assurance.

This might be old news for many , but I say it still - if you love your new garments, treat their care labels as your holy bible.
