Velour Happenings

Hi Guys!

Time really flies when you’re having fun, And doing these blog updates actually make you even more aware of how fast! Crazy!
Well since my last update I’ve really been using my multitasking skills by juggling three happenings the past week! Whereof one liquid lunch, one after work (both on the same day), and if that wasn’t enough we started our sample sale the day after.
The liquid lunch took place in our store and was collaboration together with Juicekällan. The focus was to bring awareness to our store and invite offices that are stationed around our store on Magasinsgatan in Gothenburg. The event included one smoothie and an energy-ball for 40kr during lunch hour (11am - 1pm). But if you purchased a garment during the event you got the lunch for free and on top of that we offered a 10% discount on the whole purchase. For this event I’ve been helping out with everything from finding prospects, customers and offices, creating invitations and marketing materials, doing invitation follow ups by phone (to make sure that everyone we sent to receive the invitation), creating and sharing the event on social media, and taking care of the rsvp list. We got a great response to the event and will try to do this as a fun monthly happening.

For the After Work, which we also had in the store, we collaborated with Nordic Vibrations where the artist Pjay Parisi performed his latest single. For this event we had to prepare with sponsorships for beer/cider and snacks, find a DJ + equipment, prepare the store, and make sure that the event got out to the public. Our store window became the stage, and our cashier counter became the DJ table. Pictures of the event where updated directly on our Instagram to intrigue more people to come to the event.

When it came to the sample sale, it had its own crew of planners and hardworking souls, so what we had to do was just to make sure that the marketing was on point. So we created posters and fliers, reached out to magazines to buy ad-space and made sure that we shared the event on a daily basis on Facebook.

This week has been calmer than the previous and right now Im doing a lot of research which I can tell you more about in my next entry. But I can hint that it includes some Swedish profiles from the music industry so stay tuned!

Cheers!
